Also, we do not go into depth when explaining the gospel in its entirety, especially the future hope aspect. If someone prays and is not persuaded by faith that the Lord is WILLING to receive them on the basis of what He did for them, and that He is ALIVE willing to intercede on their behalf before the Father, then their faith is dead. The resurrection is so often neglected. Often the payment is presented, but people need to know that Jesus took that payment up to heaven, and pleads for them….

I think something to consider when discussing repentance or just faith, is that it really depends on the crowd you’re talking to, or the individual. Consider Jude 1.22-23. When I got out doorknocking or witness to my coworkers, or even people in church, I consider whether they are conscience of sin. Some people make it pretty evident they know they are vile human beings, so much to the extent that they wear it on their sleeves…. Some are already convicted of sin and judgment, next is faith.
